Mary Bows out after 35 years
12 Jan 2005
Mary Donnelly hung up her boots recently after playing camogie with
Ballymacnab for 35 illustrious years. During this time Mary has collected 13
senior county championship titles, a string of league successes as well as
Ulster and All Ireland medals whilst playing for her county.
At the
height of Mary’s career she was one of the greatest scoring powers ever to don
the Armagh jersey and has certainly been Ballymacnab’s cannon ball over the past
three decades when it came to hitting the net. Mary will continue her proud
association with Ballymacnab Camogie as she will be assisting in the coaching of
the underage players.
