Minors take league points against Middletown

St Brenda's minors were in action against Middletown on Saturday evening (May 7th) and came away with a 3-2 to 1-0 victory.

A number of new starts were given their chance to impress and did so in style with Ashling Toner outstanding throughout in defence, Nicole McCormack showing her turn of speed and goal scoring abilities in attack. taking 2 fine goals, Petrina Cosgrove confirming her reputation as a bright young star and Megan Leonard and Shauna Grugan sound in defence.

Shanna Leonard has an excellent game in the half back line while Laura Gray was tiggerish in attack. Sarah Vallely kept the pressure in the Middletown defence ably supported by Emma McManus who took her goal very well and curtailed the Middletown defence. Louise Toner was cool as a cucumber in goals. Aideen Canavan also has a very good game coming off with 1-1 while Edel McParland (0-1) and Natalie Gray were steady throughout.
