Hannah & Roisin to star in Croker!
25 Jul 2005

The Nab's primary players Hannah McGeown and Roisin Hughes are set to taste the feeling of running onto the hallowed turf at Croke Park during the half time matches that feature in this years All Ireland Hurling semifinals. Details of when the girls are to take part in the min-games are not yet known but will be updated on the site when available. The girls were selected on the basis of their preformances at the recent schools tournament, when playing for Foley Primary School. Hannah is a talented and skillful player who is normally positioned in midfield and is a fine exponent of the skill of solo running, She comes from pedigree stock as her well known mother, Olive McGeown has starred for Armagh for many years and was herself a member of the All Ireland Winning Armagh teams of 1993 and 1994, having played in the 1993 final in Croker against Galway. Olive is this years county captain so hopefully will follow her daughters example and lead Armagh out in this years All Ireland Junior final!. Roisin has starred in goals for Foley School and St Brenda's in recent years and her selection is just reqard for her hard work and outstanding goalkeeping skills- a treat to watch! Well done Hannah & Roisin and good luck for your great day's out at Croke Park.
