Laura Lavery wins camogie scholarship

Well done to hard working Laura Lavery who has successfully gained a Cumann Camogaiochta na nGael Scholarship for support towards her academic studies. Laura is a 3rd year medical student at Queen's and despite her busy academic schedule, Laura finds time for both St Brenda's Seniors and Armagh County Teams. Last Saturday Laura headed off to the glittering heights of Croke Park along with other hopefuls who had seen the Call for Scholarships for University Students in the www.camogie.ie website and had made their applications. She underwent a 4-panel interview and obviously impressed as she was later notified of her success. Well done Laura, that wee click on the 'send' button was certainly well worth pushing... and we all hope that Laura and her Nab team mates will be pressing all the right buttons when it comes to the 2006 season!
